Umamusume Pretty Derby US Concert Delayed: Visa Crisis [Confirmed]

Umamusume: Pretty Derby’s highly anticipated debut U.S. concert event, planned for October 22 through October 23, 2026, in Los Angeles, faces imminent cancellation because developer Cygames has yet to secure necessary entry visas for its voice actors under strict immigration policies. According to verified reports published by Kotaku on October 19, 2026, Cygames released an official statement detailing that legal teams and U.S. promoters have been working for over six months to finalize paperwork. Despite these extensive efforts, approvals remain stalled. The 7th EVENT: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES represents a monumental milestone for the globally celebrated mobile franchise, bridging Japanese idol culture with Western fanbases. Cygames emphasized that all participating parties are currently exploring every available diplomatic and legal avenue to expedite visa clearances before the curtain rises. However, the resurgence of stringent immigration crackdowns since the Trump administration returned to office in 2024 has disproportionately impacted international artists and touring acts. Several foreign performers have faced similar bureaucratic roadblocks, leading to widespread event cancellations across the United States entertainment and gaming sectors. Fans holding tickets are advised to monitor official announcements closely as developers scramble for last-minute resolutions.
