TP-Link Wi-Fi 8 Routers US Manufacturing: [Confirmed]

TP-Link has officially announced major plans to shift its cutting-edge Wi-Fi 8 router manufacturing directly to the United States through a strategic partnership with Key Tronic in Mississippi, effectively dodging recent federal regulatory soft bans. According to verified reports from PC Gamer, earlier this year the Federal Communications Commission implemented a stringent soft ban on foreign-made networking hardware, requiring special approvals that threatened import pipelines. In response, TP-Link CEO Jeffrey Chao confirmed that signing this letter of intent with Key Tronic demonstrates a firm commitment to expanding domestic advanced manufacturing. Key Tronic CEO Brett Larsen noted that their extensive experience in high-reliability electronics manufacturing will provide a robust foundation for assembling the next generation of wireless technology. This move not only satisfies government compliance standards but also secures continuous hardware availability for tournament organizers and esports athletes who rely on pristine network reliability during high-stakes online matches. By localizing assembly in Mississippi, TP-Link bypasses regulatory bottlenecks, reinforcing long-term market stability for high-performance home and office networking gear across North America.
