According to verified reporting bureau Kotaku, journalist John Walker detailed how the strategy classic's install size ballooned from 3.85GB to a staggering 45GB while introducing jagged camera movements and blurry visual assets. Sega compounded player frustration by simultaneously delisting previous versions from the storefront and raising the price tag for the upgraded package. Despite receiving a handful of glowing critic reviews giving it a Metascore of 86, the actual player base experienced severe performance degradation, legacy bugs alongside brand-new technical glitches, and completely shattered community-driven modification support. Furthermore, industry observers noted parallel pricing turbulence across major publisher catalogs, similar to when major titles experience sudden market disruptions like [Borderlands 4 [Confirmed]: Plummets to $20 at Amazon Today](/news/borderlands-4-price-drop-amazon). Creative Assembly has yet to issue a comprehensive patch addressing these mounting performance complaints or clarifying the exact provenance of the contested graphical assets.
