Street Fighter Movie: Mortal Kombat Crossover Teased [Confirmed]

The upcoming live-action Street Fighter cast has officially endorsed a cinematic crossover with the Mortal Kombat universe in May 2026, following public endorsements from Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon and explosive comedic campaign hints dropped by co-star Andrew Schulz during high-profile gaming showcases. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, the ensemble cast of Capcom's flagship adaptation confirmed during pre-theatrical press rounds that they eagerly support colliding Earthrealm warriors with classic World Warriors like Ryu, Guile, and Chun-Li. This alignment builds directly upon recent momentum, including the breakout casting news of [Street Fighter Movie: Callina Liang Chun-Li Cast [Confirmed]](/news/callina-liang-chun-li-street-fighter-movie) and WWE icon [WWE RAW: Sami Zayn vs Cody Rhodes Title Match [Confirmed]](/news/sami-zayn-cody-rhodes-wwe-raw) champion Cody Rhodes engaging in the expanding franchise lore. Comedian Andrew Schulz openly admitted his viral barbs against the Mortal Kombat II theatrical cast during the 2025 Game Awards were deliberate seeds planted to push Warner Bros. and Legendary towards negotiations. With Ed Boon explicitly stating his desire to integrate Street Fighter icons as guest combatants, both fanbases and competitive fighting game communities now look forward to unprecedented cross-franchise multimedia collaboration that spans from Hollywood silver screens directly into modern fighting game rosters and competitive circuits worldwide.
