Street Fighter Movie: Schulz Roasts Mortal Kombat 2 [Confirmed]

Street Fighter movie actor Andrew Schulz confirmed that his viral Game Awards roast targeting the Mortal Kombat 2 cast was an impromptu stage bit executed after discovering rival franchise actors skipped the ceremony. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, the stand-up comedian and podcast host took the live stage alongside his castmates to promote Legendary Entertainment's upcoming live-action Street Fighter adaptation, where Schulz portrays comic relief martial artist Dan Hibiki. Schulz initially hyped the audience by pretending to introduce the ensemble cast of New Line Cinema's Mortal Kombat sequel, before revealing their absence and humorously claiming they only cared about box-office cash. Cast members quickly clarified the banter was classic fighting game tribalism rather than genuine animosity, paying homage to the decades-long rivalry between NetherRealm Studios and Capcom. This high-profile Hollywood confrontation arrives amid broader mainstream entertainment crossovers, reminiscent of lifestyle merchandise booms like the [Pokemon Center Winter Night Sky 2026 Merch Drop [Confirmed]](/news/pokemon-winter-night-sky-collection-2026).
