Steam Revenue 2026 Surpasses 20b [2026 Update]

As originally reported by PC Gamer, Alinea Analytics confirmed Steam earned $1.7 billion in September 2026, a 13% rise over the previous record and positioning the platform to exceed $20 billion in annual revenue for the first time. The surge stems from robust back‑catalogue sales and blockbuster releases such as Forza Horizon 6, Resident Evil Requiem, and the surprise hit Wardogs, which alone pulled $86.9 million. Helldivers 2 and Arc Raiders continued strong momentum, each surpassing $120 million. This financial momentum underscores Steam’s growing influence on game distribution and esports financing, reinforcing its role as a primary revenue engine for developers and tournament organizers.
