The Sisters Grimm Season 2: Amy Higgins Interview [Update 2026]

The Sisters Grimm Season 2 showrunner Amy Higgins revealed in an emotional interview in October 2026 that she endured an awful personal family tragedy while producing the acclaimed animated Apple TV fantasy mystery adaptation of Ferryport Landing. According to verified reports from Sportskeeda Esports & BGMI, Higgins spoke candidly about balancing overwhelming grief with creative leadership across the second season's intensive animation pipeline. The series follows juvenile detective sisters Sabrina and Daphne Grimm as they unravel folklore secrets to rescue their missing parents in a hidden town where classic fairy tale figures live disguised. Higgins explained that channeling vulnerability directly into character dialogue helped ground the magical premise in raw emotional resonance. Despite substantial delays and personal turmoil, the studio preserved its core production milestones. Entertainment critics note that navigating severe loss while delivering premium episodic animation mirrors high-pressure creative challenges across interactive entertainment, comparable to worldbuilding updates seen in [Neverness to Everness Version 1.4: Akane Rin [Update 2026]](/news/neverness-to-everness-version-1-4-update). Higgins expressed immense gratitude to her collaborative writing room and production staff for providing compassionate flexibility, enabling the franchise to maintain its scheduled rollout without compromising animated fidelity or thematic depth.
