Mass Effect Petition Surpasses 210K Signatures [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from GamesRadar published in February 2026, Owlcat Games—the acclaimed studio developing The Expanse: Osiris Reborn—has officially thrown its full support behind the #SaveMassEffect community petition following BioWare's sudden studio closure and franchise cancellation. The grassroots movement has surged past 210,000 signatures on change petitions after a leaked trailer for a cancelled project titled Mass Effect Universe sparked immense community outrage. Drawing parallels to how Syfy's 2015 sci-fi series The Expanse was famously rescued by passionate fan advocacy before being picked up by Amazon Prime, Owlcat developers emphasized that community resilience can alter corporate decisions. Industry analysts note that publisher-developer solidarity in RPG circles remains rare, yet vital when historic IPs face premature shelving. Meanwhile, as players monitor updates on whether Electronic Arts might reconsider the franchise trajectory, related hardware and digital infrastructure investments continue evolving, mirroring high-speed connectivity enhancements examined in [Starlink vs 5G Gaming Latency: Complete Speed Test [Confirmed]](/news/starlink-vs-5g-gaming-speeds) and advanced mobile hardware diagnostics detailed in [Apple iPad Mini OLED 8.5-Inch: Specs & Price [Confirmed]](/news/apple-ipad-mini-oled-release-specs).
