Saros Zenith Update: Boss Rush & New Game+ [Patch Notes]

Developer Housemarque and Sony officially shadowdropped the major Saros Zenith update today across PlayStation platforms, introducing a competitive Boss Rush leaderboard mode, expanded New Game Plus progression, and ten challenging Carcosan Trial Modifiers designed to test elite players. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, the unexpected patch injects profound replayability into the frantic sci-fi shooter. Players can now experiment with Carcosan Modifiers to radically alter gameplay dynamics, while the brand-new Overlord Rush mode delivers fast-paced score attacks accessible directly from the primary unit in Passage. Furthermore, navigating treacherous Eclipse Layers causes protagonist Arjun to don a glowing golden crown and gilded armor. The more active trial modifiers equipped, the more brilliant the luminous armor becomes, unlocking exclusive lore and story entries known as Visions. This update also integrates mysterious Armor Matrix nodes that redefine passage navigation and tactical routing. As players grind through these punishing new layers, elite account prestige spikes dramatically, mirroring intense grind milestones seen in other hardcore titles like [Abbott & Costello Kolchak Horror Crossover [Update 2026]](/news/abbott-costello-kolchak-crossover-kickstarter).
