PS5 Exclusive After Wolverine: Until Dawn 2 Set [Confirmed]

PlayStation 5 players tracking Sony's first-party roadmap now have official confirmation that narrative horror sequel Until Dawn 2 will serve as the platform's next flagship exclusive arriving directly following the premiere of Insomniac Games' Marvel's Wolverine. According to verified reports from Game Rant, Sony Interactive Entertainment is solidifying its late-generation release cadence around prestige single-player cinematic experiences to answer ongoing player demand for system-selling software. While critics have scrutinized the PS5 generation for relying on cross-generation ports and remasters like Demon's Souls, blockbuster triumphs such as Astro Bot and Ghost of Yotei proved the commercial viability of dedicated hardware showcases. This announcement arrives during a broader industry transition toward digital distribution, echoed recently when [PlayStation Discs Ending: Ken Kutaragi Slams Backlash [Confirmed]](/news/ken-kutaragi-playstation-disc-backlash-2026) sparked intense community debate over game ownership. By slotting Until Dawn 2 right behind Wolverine, PlayStation establishes a multi-genre pipeline that blends comic-book action with branch-choice survival horror. Production is reportedly collaborating with veteran cinematic directors, guaranteeing high-fidelity character performance capture and DualSense haptic feedback that heighten tension across branching narrative paths.
