Horizon Forbidden West PS Plus Return: [Confirmed Release Date]

According to verified reports from Game Rant published in October 2026, Sony is officially bringing the highly acclaimed open-world action RPG Horizon Forbidden West back to the PlayStation Plus subscription catalog after a notable and unexpected absence. This major service update restores one of PlayStation's most celebrated first-party blockbusters to the digital library, allowing millions of subscribers to experience Aloy's sweeping post-apocalyptic journey without purchasing the standalone title. Industry analysts note that subscription services frequently rotate top-tier titles to maintain subscriber engagement, yet losing and subsequently reclaiming a flagship franchise property remains a rare milestone for the ecosystem. The return underscores Sony's ongoing strategy to bolster its monthly offerings with premier AAA experiences, countering competitive pressures in the digital subscription landscape. For players eager to dive back into the machine-infested western frontier, this October refresh delivers immense value, bridging the gap between historical library exclusions and modern service accessibility. Furthermore, broader gaming market trends show that major platform announcements directly influence digital asset valuations, skin trading stability, and community trading volume across secondary marketplaces.
