Project Hadar: CD Projekt Red IP Update [Confirmed]

CD Projekt Red has officially advanced its mysterious new IP, codenamed Project Hadar, into foundational creative development, expanding its studio pipeline beyond The Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises to establish a standalone universe built from scratch on Unreal Engine 5. According to verified reports from Polygon, the Polish developer confirmed the milestone during corporate pipeline reviews, clarifying that Project Hadar represents the studio's first wholly homegrown intellectual property rather than an adaptation. While CD Projekt Red juggles The Witcher 4, the Sirius multiplayer spinoff, and the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel Project Orion, a dedicated incubation team is currently shaping Hadar's core setting, combat philosophy, and world rules. Studio executives reiterated that actual production remains behind Polaris in priority, yet early worldbuilding now has dedicated veteran leads. Much like deep single-player theorycrafting seen in [Fallout: New Vegas Challenge Runs: 9 Best Builds [Full Guide]](/news/fallout-new-vegas-challenge-runs-guide), Project Hadar seeks to redefine narrative agency and immersive gameplay loops. With pre-production expanding, CD Projekt Red aims to insulate its development cycles by deploying parallel multi-team structures across its European and North American facilities.
