Pokemon Center London Permanent Store Opening [Confirmed]

The Pokémon Company has officially confirmed that London will host the brand's first permanent Pokémon Center retail flagship outside of Asia by 2029, establishing a dedicated European destination for exclusive physical merchandise, gaming events, and championship-tier community gatherings. According to verified reports from VGC, the decision follows years of wildly successful temporary pop-up shops across the United Kingdom, which saw hundreds of thousands of fans queuing for hours at Westfield shopping centres. This announcement marks a monumental shift in retail strategy, signaling that Western demand has matured enough to support long-term brick-and-mortar storefronts identical to Tokyo and Osaka flagships. Company executives confirmed that London is merely the inaugural location, with additional permanent international retail hubs planned across key Western metropolitan centers before the end of the decade. Beyond plushies and bespoke apparel, the London venue will feature dedicated interactive play spaces engineered to host Play! Pokémon league sessions, pre-release tournaments, and digital distribution stations for mainline Nintendo Switch titles.
