Poison Ivy HBO Series: Penguin Showrunner Eyed [Confirmed]

A solo live-action Poison Ivy television series is currently in early development at HBO, with critically acclaimed The Penguin showrunner Lauren LeFranc actively in negotiations to steer the high-profile DC Studios adaptation. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, the project marks Dr. Pamela Isley's first live-action headline role since Uma Thurman portrayed the villain in 1997. Production insiders confirm that this standalone adaptation will not share continuity with Matt Reeves' The Batman Epic Crime Saga, meaning neither Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight nor Colin Farrell's Oz Cobb will appear alongside Dr. Isley. Warner Bros. Discovery has not yet attached screenwriters or lead talent to the early pitch, echoing television franchise expansions like [VisionQuest Episode 4 Reveals Original Human Torch Link [Confirmed]](/news/visionquest-human-torch-connection-revealed) as comic adaptations evolve into character-centric prestige dramas. Following the massive ratings and critical triumph of The Penguin, HBO aims to explore Gotham's botanist through a gritty, psychology-driven lens that distinguishes itself from standard superhero formulas.
