The PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 2 is underway in Lahore, Pakistan - the first official global PUBG Mobile esports event the country has ever hosted. Thirty-two of the world's best teams have landed in Lahore to fight for a $500,000 prize pool and a direct path toward the 2026 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Main Event runs from October 20 to 25. The Group Stage plays out on October 20 and 21, with the 32 teams split into two groups of 16 - Group A on October 20 and Group B on October 21 - playing six matches each across Rondo, Erangel, and Miramar. The top six in each group qualify directly for the Grand Finals. Teams finishing 7th to 14th drop into the Survival Stage on October 22, where 16 teams fight for the last four finals slots, and the bottom two in each group are eliminated. After a rest day on October 23, the Grand Finals run on October 24 and 25 at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore.
Two format twists headline this season. Qualification ties in the Group Stage are now settled by a TDM Tiebreaker - a 4v4 Warehouse shootout played best-of-three - instead of the old countback rules. And the Grand Finals use the Smash Rule: the championship has to be closed out with a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, with a possible 13th match played if no team has sealed the title after Match 12.
Pakistan's own 4Thrives Esports arrive as the defending PMGO champions after winning Season 1 in Indonesia in June, and they headline Group B on home soil. The field around them is stacked: Bigetron by Vitality, Alpha7, Vampire Esports, Regnum Carya, The MongolZ, and S2G Esports are all in Lahore chasing the same trophy.
The stakes go beyond the prize money. All 16 Grand Finalists earn PMGC points toward the Istanbul standings, and the champion collects 150 PMGC points - the biggest single points haul of the split and a major step toward a guaranteed PMGC 2026 slot.
Matches stream live on the official PUBG Mobile Esports YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch channels, including an Urdu broadcast for Pakistani fans. Group Stage results are being decided across October 20 and 21 - standings are still pending as the matches play out, and this page will be updated with the confirmed Grand Finals line-up and, after October 25, the champion.
