Overwatch Update [Patch Notes]: Roadhog Buffs & Sombra Nerfs

According to verified reports from Esports.gg, the October 13 Overwatch patch deployed a critical hotfix that directly alters competitive hero metas by buffing reworked Roadhog and Kiriko while delivering substantial nerfs to Sombra, Doctrine, and D.Mon. The update targets core balance pain points across multiple roles. Roadhog's Scrap Gun center projectile damage increases from 34 to 40, significantly boosting his lethal burst potential at medium range. Furthermore, his Take a Breather ability receives massive quality-of-life improvements, dropping its cooldown from 2 to 1.25 seconds, boosting damage reduction from 35% to 40%, and extending maximum duration from 2 to 2.5 seconds. These changes transform Roadhog from a niche pick into an oppressive frontline juggernaut capable of sustaining prolonged team fights. Meanwhile, Sombra and other outlier heroes face targeted nerfs designed to curb flank dominance and restore balance across ranked ladders. Team 4 continues to iterate rapidly on hero designs following community feedback from recent seasonal updates, ensuring competitive integrity remains high.
