Og Reverse Sweep Betboom Blast Slam 8 Dota 2 [2026 Update]

As originally reported by Esports.gg, OG has officially eliminated BetBoom Team from 8 following a dramatic 2-1 reverse sweep in the group stage decider match. The high-stakes series served as a critical proving ground for both organizations following significant post-The International 2026 roster shuffles. OG entered the matchup with momentum after surviving a grueling elimination series against MOUZ. Conversely, BetBoom Team found themselves in the lower bracket after a decisive loss to PGL Wallachia Season 9 champions, Team Yandex. The matchup highlighted the contrasting trajectories of their recent roster adjustments. BetBoom's decision to shift Vitalie "Save-" Melnic to position two in place of Danil "gpk" Skutin, while integrating Georgii "swedenstrong" Zainalabidov at position four, struggled against OG's renewed synergy. OG's comprehensive roster overhaul, headlined by the highly anticipated return of two-time TI champion Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, proved to be the decisive factor. Topson's signature unpredictable playstyle anchored OG's reverse sweep, securing their advancement to the playoffs' last chance round and sending BetBoom home much earlier than market analysts projected.
