Nintendo Switch Online Adds 3 Classic Game Boy Games [Confirmed]

Nintendo has officially released a new Nintendo Switch Online update worldwide, adding three classic 1990s Game Boy titles—Mole Mania, Avenging Spirit, and Pinball: Revenge of the 'Gator—to give subscribers immediate access to foundational handheld action and puzzle gameplay. According to verified reports from Game Rant, the surprise catalog expansion targets standard subscription tiers without requiring the pricier Expansion Pack tier. Among the new additions, Mole Mania stands out as a hidden gem produced by legendary designer Shigeru Miyamoto, challenging players through grid-based puzzle combat. Meanwhile, Jaleco's 1991 arcade port Avenging Spirit brings a unique ghost-possession mechanic, letting players command over twenty host bodies across side-scrolling stages. HAL Laboratory's Pinball: Revenge of the 'Gator rounds out the trio with precise alligator-themed pinball physics originally engineered under Satoru Iwata. This retro push aligns with broader collector nostalgia across gaming, echoing enthusiast curiosity seen around legacy physical hardware like the [LEGO PlayStation PS1 Set Revealed: Full Details [Confirmed]](/news/lego-playstation-console-set-confirmed).
