The Story
As originally reported by Reddit PUBGMobile, players noticed a low‑resolution pixelation in the honor lobby background and an upgraded glider that appears identical to the base version, rendering the purchase ineffective. The thread, posted by u/breakfast_intruder, highlights community disappointment, especially among collectors who value visual fidelity and functional upgrades. While the honor set’s aesthetic remains appealing, the technical flaws undermine its perceived worth. This sentiment mirrors earlier skin‑related controversies that sparked heated discussion on the platform. Strategic & Competitive Analysis
How this development impacts competitive gameplay, professional metas, and community markets.
The glitch directly affects players’ strategic skin choices, as honor sets often serve as morale boosters and visual cues for team coordination in high‑stakes matches. With the upgraded glider malfunctioning, squads may revert to default parachutes, potentially altering drop timing and positioning on maps like Erangel and Miramar. This could marginally lower the win‑rate of teams that rely on the glider’s aesthetic intimidation factor, especially in the upcoming PUBG Mobile Pro League qualifiers where visual cohesion is prized. Teams will likely prioritize functional gear over cosmetic upgrades until a patch restores the glider’s intended performance, shifting focus back to weapon loadouts and map control tactics.
