MTG Soul Spike Secret Lair Reprint Confirmed [Confirmed]

Wizards of the Coast has officially confirmed that Magic: The Gathering card Soul Spike will receive its first reprint in twenty years as part of an upcoming Reality Fracture Secret Lair drop scheduled for release in 2026. According to verified reports from Polygon, the powerful black instant card first debuted in 2006's Coldsnap expansion and quickly became an $18 secondary market staple due to a remarkable lack of modern reprints. Competitive Modern format players and Commander enthusiasts have spent two decades waiting for Wizards of the Coast to address the card's soaring acquisition costs. The announcement of the Reality Fracture Secret Lair crossover directly tackles supply scarcity, offering collectors and tournament grinders a guaranteed pathway to secure copies without battling inflated secondary market pricing. Industry analysts note that this targeted reprint strategy reflects Wizards' broader initiative to inject liquidity into legacy formats while maintaining distinct collector value for original vintage printings. As pre-orders open, player demand is expected to peak rapidly, mirroring recent spikes seen across major collectible card releases.
