MSFS World Update 23: Poland and Baltics Launch [Patch Notes]

Microsoft Flight Simulator has officially released World Update 23 on October 26, 2026, introducing photogrammetric cities, handcrafted regional hubs, and overhauled terrain data across Poland and the Baltic nations of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania free of charge for all sim pilots. According to verified reports from Xbox Wire, the free update upgrades Eastern European airspace through fresh aerial imagery, ultra-high-resolution digital elevation modeling, and five handcrafted airports including Warsaw Chopin and Vilnius International. Over fifty custom architectural points of interest—from historic castles to coastal lighthouses across the Baltic Sea—have been integrated directly into the base simulator. Players can also test their aviation skills across three new discovery flights, fresh landing challenges in volatile crosswinds, and three bespoke bush trips traversing picturesque Baltic coastlines. This major content drop continues Microsoft and Asobo Studio's commitment to persistent geographical fidelity, proving live-service flight simulation remains robust even as studios across the broader industry experience volatile restructuring like the [Auroch Digital Layoffs 2026: Studio Cuts 25% Staff [Confirmed]](/news/auroch-digital-layoffs-2026-confirmed).
