Mass Effect Universe Trailer Leak: BioWare Cancelled Game [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from TalkEsport, a two-minute cinematic trailer for the unreleased Mass Effect Universe project leaked on Reddit's r/masseffect on October 22, 2026, exactly one day after Electronic Arts permanently shut down BioWare. Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier confirmed the authenticity of the leaked footage, which outlines a smaller, espionage-flavored narrative set within the Milky Way galaxy following the catastrophic Reaper war. The video features fan-favorite character Liara T'Soni delivering briefing dialogue, though it conspicuously lacks Commander Shepard and any form of interactive gameplay mechanics. The leak originated from a fresh Reddit burner account managed by user Random_Hyabusa_Ninja, who responded to community requests with the explosive phrase 'Ask and you shall receive.' While industry insiders debate whether the uploader is a disgruntled former developer or an external contractor, the sudden exposure provides a rare window into BioWare's final creative direction before corporate restructuring halted production indefinitely. Electronic Arts has not issued an official public statement regarding the source of the breach, maintaining strict silence as community backlash over the studio's abrupt closure continues to intensify across global gaming forums.
