Mass Effect 5 Trailer Ready Before BioWare Closure [Confirmed]

Mass Effect 5 reportedly had a fully completed reveal trailer prepared for public release before Electronic Arts abruptly canceled the upcoming sci-fi sequel and permanently shuttered legendary developer BioWare across its Edmonton and Austin studio workspaces this week. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, internal development sources confirmed that a polished cinematic showcase had been assembled months prior to the executive shutdown. Electronic Arts leadership, including President Cam Weber and David Tinson, circulated a memo detailing that a compact incubation team was handling early development before executives terminated the project entirely to reallocate resources toward live-service pipelines. The announcement stunned industry veterans, especially as community leaks on Austin forums initially hinted at the unreleased trailer's existence. The termination marks a bleak finale for the studio that established the gold standard for branching choice-driven roleplaying games.
