Steam 2024 Local Co-Op Game Kajipeet Is Now Free [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Game Rant, the 2024 local co-op party game Kajipeet has officially transitioned from a modest ninety-nine cent title to a permanently free-to-keep release on Steam. Originally launched as a low-cost indie experiment, the title gives cooperative gaming enthusiasts an entirely risk-free avenue to explore chaotic local multiplayer mechanics. Although Kajipeet never commanded a hefty price tag, removing the financial barrier entirely has sparked a massive influx of daily active users on Valve’s desktop storefront. This promotional shift aligns with broader industry trends where independent developers leverage zero-cost availability to cultivate community growth and user retention. For players experiencing platform login hiccups or launcher hurdles—similar to recent incidents detailed in our report on [Steam Down: Server Login Issues Hit Global Players [Confirmed]](/news/steam-down-server-login-issues)—accessing this promotion requires a standard active Steam client. The game features streamlined mechanics designed explicitly for couch co-op sessions, making it an ideal pickup for casual game nights without monetary investment. Industry analysts note that permanent price drops on PC platforms frequently precede major content expansions or spiritual successor announcements from indie studios.
