Johnny Depp Scrooge Reveal: Ebenezer First Look [Confirmed]

Johnny Depp officially debuted his unrecognizable practical prosthetic transformation as Ebenezer Scrooge during IGN Fan Fest 2026, revealing exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and new promotional key art for director-led holiday adaptation Ebenezer scheduled for release in cinemas next month. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, prosthetic designer Barrie Gower engineered an intricate face sculpt to match Depp's specific artistic demands, including an elongated prosthetic chin and hyper-realistic facial moles. Co-star Trammell Tillman, portraying the Ghost of Christmas Present, confirmed that Depp's physical alteration completely masked his recognizable silhouette on set. The exclusive reel unveiled at IGN Fall Fan Fest highlighted the exhaustive four-hour daily application required to bring the iconic literary miser to life. Much like recent high-profile adaptations detailed in our coverage of the [VisionQuest MCU Series: Plot Leaks & Cast Details [Confirmed]](/news/visionquest-mcu-series-kotaku-report), cinematic property shifts generate substantial cross-promotional momentum. The newly dropped poster highlights the grim gothic texture of Depp's Scrooge alongside Tillman's spectral presence, confirming a grittier tonal departure for the classic Charles Dickens narrative.
