Islam Makhachev vs Carlos Prates Prediction [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Sportskeeda Esports & BGMI published in October 2026, surging featherweight contender Jean Silva has delivered a striking five-round prediction for a potential welterweight championship showdown between dominant titleholder Islam Makhachev and knockout artist Carlos Prates. Makhachev successfully defended his elite status following a decisive unanimous decision victory against Ian Machado Garry at UFC 330 in August 2026. In the energetic aftermath of that marquee event, Carlos Prates rapidly emerged as the primary frontrunner challenging for the divisional crown. Silva, known for his relentless striking pressure and sharp analytical breakdowns, evaluated the stylistic matchup and asserted that a championship bout between Makhachev and Prates would definitively extend into the championship rounds. While Makhachev showcases world-class grappling mastery and suffocating chain wrestling, Prates wields devastating counter-striking capabilities that can alter momentum in a single exchange. As combat sports enthusiasts await official promotion matchmaking, the ripple effects of this anticipated clash are already reverberating across digital gaming communities and elite esports wagering platforms.
