IND vs WI 2026: Naman Dhir Blitz Stuns West Indies [Update 2026]

India newcomer Naman Dhir smashed West Indies all-rounder Keemo Paul for 16 runs in just three deliveries during the fifth T20I at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium on October 17, 2026, delivering an instant tactical breakthrough in a match truncated to nine overs per side due to persistent rain. According to verified reports from Sportskeeda Esports & BGMI, the encounter commenced under immense pressure after India lost the coin toss and were sent in to bat on a slick, damp surface. Entering at number six directly after skipper Shreyas Iyer departed in the seventh over, Dhir dismantled Paul's death-over bowling plans with ruthless execution. He opened his onslaught with a colossal six over deep mid-wicket, followed immediately by back-to-back boundary strikes that completely flipped the run-rate momentum in favor of the hosts. This explosive cameo mirrors the aggressive strategic shakeups recently observed across international selections, much like the restructuring seen in the [IND vs NZ 2026 Test Squad: 5 Major Stars Dropped [Confirmed]](/news/ind-vs-nz-2026-test-squad-dropped-stars). Dhir's lightning strike pushed India to a formidable sub-ten-over total, electrifying the capacity home crowd.
