Hood Warfare 2 Backlash: Lacy Defends Viral FPS Play [Confirmed]

Lacy, a CORE Boys Twitch streamer, faced intense community backlash after playing the newly released viral FPS Hood Warfare 2 live on his channel on October 15, 2026, because viewers accused him of promoting a gang‑themed shooter. According to verified reports from Sportskeeda Esports & BGVI, the game launched on Steam on October 8, 2026 and quickly gained traction for its Call of Duty‑style mechanics set in a fictional Chicago. Lacy’s stream attracted 120,000 concurrent viewers before the criticism erupted, with many fans demanding he return to mainstream titles. The streamer responded on Twitter, stating he wanted to showcase emerging indie talent and that “everyone should be free to play what they enjoy.” The incident highlights the fine line creators walk between supporting new releases and maintaining audience expectations.
