H-Hour World's Elite Returns to Steam Free [Update 2026]

According to verified reports from Game Rant, the tactical shooter H-Hour: World's Elite has made a major surprise return to Steam in 2026 as a completely free-to-play title following its controversial 2023 delisting. Initially launched back in 2015, the project generated massive community hype due to its positioning as the spiritual successor to Sony's beloved SOCOM series on PlayStation. However, technical hurdles, server instability, and a rough initial launch plagued the title, leading the original developers to request its removal from digital storefronts. Now, developers have wiped away the financial barrier to entry, welcoming both returning veterans and curious newcomers back to the tactical battlefield without spending a single dollar. Industry analysts note that removing the price tag completely alters the player acquisition funnel, breathing fresh life into dormant lobbies and sparking renewed community engagement across competitive tactical gaming forums worldwide. Players can once again experience authentic old-school military simulations focused strictly on tactical positioning, disciplined communication squad tactics, and deliberate map control rather than frantic modern arcade shooter action.
