GTA 6 Leaks Halt: Cyberleek Shuts Down Build Ransom [Leak]

Grand Theft Auto 6 leaker Cyberleek officially halted public distribution of an alleged 200-gigabyte game build on October 14, 2026, shutting down their website after a controversial cryptocurrency ransom campaign failed to reach its targeted 30-million-dollar valuation milestone. According to verified reports from Kotaku, the anonymous threat actor claimed possession of final mission cinematics and campaign conclusions but elected not to publish them to avoid ruining the launch experience for legitimate players. However, Cyberleek issued an overt threat against Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games, asserting that an automated dead man's switch will immediately trigger widespread internet distribution of unedited mission archives if law enforcement or corporate investigators intervene. The threat actor previously conditioned the release of their unverified build on funding an anonymous token initiative, which community analysts and cyber investigators widely condemned as a crypto rug pull. While previous breaches detailed in our coverage of [GTA 6 Project Americas: Original Scope & Map Size [Confirmed]](/news/gta-6-original-scope-project-americas) surfaced authentic development archives, Kotaku confirms Cyberleek published only disjointed, out-of-context mission clips before abruptly closing operations. Take-Two Interactive has not commented, yet industry security analysts confirm the immediate threat of a catastrophic day-one source code leak has subsided for now.
