GTA 6 Game Awards Eligibility Officially Verified [Confirmed]

Grand Theft Auto 6 is officially eligible for The Game Awards 2026 after Rockstar Games scheduled its global release for November 19, 2026, sliding in just twenty-four hours ahead of the strict November 20 nomination cutoff deadline at 9 PM PT. According to verified reports from GameSpot News, internet speculation claiming host Geoff Keighley altered official deadlines to accommodate Rockstar is unfounded. The official Game Awards rulebook specifies that any title launching publicly prior to November 20 at 9 PM PT qualifies for voting jury ballots. With GTA 6 hitting retail on November 19, critics will have immediate access to evaluate Jason and Lucia's Vice City campaign alongside prior narrative revelations like [GTA 6 Boobie Ike Secrets Revealed: Vice City Mogul [Confirmed]](/news/gta-6-boobie-ike-marketing-mystery). Industry analysts observe that Rockstar deliberately targeted this window rather than the event altering criteria. While late-November launches historically face compressed voting periods, the immense scale of Grand Theft Auto guarantees global jury attention before ballots finalize. Keighley's annual December extravaganza will feature Rockstar's blockbuster squarely in the Game of the Year spotlight without breaking established governance.
