GTA 6 The Game Awards 2026 GOTY Eligibility [Confirmed]

Grand Theft Auto 6 is officially eligible for Game of the Year honors at The Game Awards 2026 after securing a commercial release date of November 19, 2026, beating the official show eligibility deadline by a single day. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, the official guidelines updated on The Game Awards portal specify that any contender must be commercially available on or before Friday, November 20, 2026, at 9:00 PM PT. This narrow inclusion sets the stage for an unprecedented end-of-year voting sprint across technical and artistic categories.
