GTA 6 Will Boost Modern Warfare 4 Player Count [Confirmed]

Rockstar Games' upcoming launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 this November will paradoxically drive record engagement for Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 by bringing millions of lapsed console players back to Xbox and PlayStation dashboards, according to official statements. According to verified reports from GameSpot News, Activision Chief Marketing Officer Tyler Bahl dismissed concerns that Rockstar's blockbuster would overshadow Call of Duty, framing the massive release as a rising tide that benefits the entire gaming industry. Speaking with The Game Business, Bahl explained that casual gamers dusting off their home hardware to experience Vice City will simultaneously populate digital storefronts and ecosystem feeds, creating unprecedented cross-promotional exposure for Modern Warfare 4. While Nintendo is also launching its anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2 on November 5, Activision remains confident that GTA and Call of Duty will stand as the twin commercial juggernauts of late 2026.
