Nintendo Switch Online Adds Metal Slug Advance & Kururin [Update]

According to verified reports from VGC, Nintendo has officially added three iconic Game Boy Advance titles to the Nintendo Switch Online library, featuring Metal Slug Advance, Monster Rancher Advance, and the previously Japan-exclusive Kururin Paradise puzzle game. This major retro expansion brings legendary SNK run-and-gun action and Tecmo monster breeding directly to modern hybrid hardware with standard emulation features like suspend points and rewind functionality. Kururin Paradise marks a significant milestone for Western retro enthusiasts, as the quirky puzzle-action sequel developed by Eighting was never officially localized during the original 2002 Game Boy Advance lifecycle in North America or Europe. Players control the spinning Helirin helicopter through intricate obstacle courses, requiring razor-sharp spatial awareness and twitch reflexes. Meanwhile, Metal Slug Advance delivers classic arcade combat with branching paths, prisoner rescue missions, and exclusive slug weapon upgrades that tested handheld gamers in 2004. Monster Rancher Advance rounds out the trio, offering deep tactical monster training and combat tournaments that defined early 2000s portable RPGs. Nintendo continues to bolster its subscription tier value by rescuing lost software gems from regional exclusivity, delighting both nostalgic veterans and younger generation speedrunners eager to master these timeless handheld classics today.
