Garmin CIRQA Update: Call and Text Vibration Alerts [Confirmed]

Garmin has officially deployed firmware update 4.20 for its screenless CIRQA smart band, introducing haptic vibration alerts for incoming phone calls and text messages to satisfy passionate community forum requests for discreet, non-distracting smartphone connectivity. According to verified reports from Android Authority, the new software build reverses Garmin’s prior design philosophy of complete notification silence on the display-free wearable. Previously, minimalist fitness wearables like WHOOP and Fitbit Air deliberately omitted notification hardware to prevent digital fatigue. Garmin has listened directly to its user base, delivering silent haptic motor feedback whenever synced mobile devices register incoming cellular calls or SMS alerts. Beyond alert support, the version 4.20 package includes supplementary stability fixes and activity tracking enhancements, despite legacy support documentation still reflecting previous silent functionality. The update arrives at a pivotal time as competitive gamers and endurance athletes demand unobtrusive wearables that log heart rate, stress levels, and recovery metrics without distracting displays during intense training sessions.
