Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo 2: Touchscreen & Video [Confirmed]

Fujifilm has officially unveiled the Instax Mini Evo 2 hybrid instant camera for 2026, upgrading the popular retro shooter with a larger 1/2.77-inch sensor, an expansive 4.5-inch rear touchscreen display, and short-form video clip recording directly to microSD. According to verified reports from The Verge, the new hybrid camera refines the bridge between nostalgic analog film printing and modern digital shooting. The upgraded 1/2.77-inch sensor significantly outperforms the predecessor's cramped 1/5-inch format, ensuring crisper detail and improved low-light color reproduction during live convention floors and tournament arenas. Instead of pure analog limits, the unit houses a 4.5-inch LCD touchscreen interface that streamlines menu navigation, dial adjustments, and print queuing. While video capture is intentionally brief—recording the decisive seconds immediately preceding shutter release into lightweight MP4 files stored on microSD—it provides content creators a vintage motion snapshot. This evolution follows a wider hardware trend where lifestyle gear meets creator aesthetics, much like how the [Razer Kraken Kitty V3 Headset Debuts Cosplay Mode [Confirmed]](/news/razer-kraken-kitty-v3-cosplay-mode) transformed broadcast setups. Users can still selectively print their favorite frames to credit-card-sized Instax Mini film or offload digital stills seamlessly.
