The Story
As originally reported by TalkEsport, the PUBG Mobile Japan League (PMJL) Season 6 Phase 2 wrapped up on October 15, crowning Valor as champions with 341 points and granting them a direct slot to the PMGC 2026 group stage. The league also confirmed the five Japanese representatives for the upcoming BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2026, which will be held in Mumbai from October 30 to November 1. The qualified squads are Valor, REIGNITE (328 points), Versus (321 points), and . The biggest shock came from REJECT, which finished sixth with 253 points, missing the cut by 43 points and consequently losing its remaining chance to reach PMGC 2026. This outcome reshapes the Japanese competitive landscape and opens the door for emerging rosters to challenge the traditional powerhouses in the international arena.
Strategic & Competitive Analysis
How this development impacts competitive gameplay, professional metas, and community markets.
REJECT’s failure highlights a fragile roster chemistry; their in‑game leader struggled on Erangel’s mid‑lane, allowing opponents to dominate the 2‑v‑2 push phases. Valor’s victory underscores a balanced squad that excels on Miramar’s long‑range engagements, leveraging aggressive sniping rotations. With BMIC 2026 approaching, Japanese teams must refine map‑specific strategies—especially on Sanhok’s close‑quarters fights—to improve qualification odds. The shift also boosts REIGNITE’s confidence, positioning them as a dark horse for the upcoming PMGC qualifiers, while Versus will likely prioritize utility weapon load‑outs to counter Valor’s sniper dominance.
