Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave: How Calendar Works [Full Guide]

Players in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave are accidentally skipping vital character paralogues and high-yield recruitment missions because the title's schedule mechanic records calendar dates without automatically creating open-world pop-up notifications unless users configure manual alerts. According to verified reports from Kotaku, early playthroughs of Intelligent Systems' latest tactical RPG have exposed a frustrating friction between automated calendar logs and active field gameplay. When accepting paralogues—such as the mercenary questline for Leda—the game marks an expiration window five in-game days ahead. However, players exploring world map activities like fishing, feasting, or city roaming receive zero real-time countdown alerts before the opportunity permanently closes. Kotaku senior writer Ash Parrish highlighted that 'added to your calendar' operates merely as a passive diary entry. Players must interact with a secondary prompt to flag specific dates with manual pop-up warnings before adventuring into the wilderness. This disconnect mirrors broader user interface changes seen across modern tactical titles like [Stardust Wish of Witch Switch 2 and PS5 Port [Confirmed]](/news/stardust-wish-of-witch-switch-2-ps5), where managing complex schedules directly dictates campaign survivability. Missing Leda's quest locks out her battle synergy and immediate campaign funding.
