Final Fantasy 14 Free Game Time [Confirmed]: PHP Lockdown Lifted

Following a severe worldwide PHP programming language security scare that forced emergency server login restrictions earlier this week, Square Enix has officially compensated all active Final Fantasy 14 players by granting one free day of paid game time. According to verified reports from GamesRadar, the global vulnerability involving PHP also impacted major platforms like the Steam store, prompting widespread precautionary shutdowns across the digital ecosystem. Square Enix acted swiftly to isolate the threat and maintain server integrity, safely reopening Final Fantasy 14 logins to the public yesterday afternoon. However, because subscribed users lost valuable paid playtime during the unexpected outage, the development team implemented the one-day extension as a direct goodwill gesture to maintain community trust. Alongside this positive compensation announcement, studio leads confirmed that automated in-game housing demolition timers, which had been temporarily suspended during the heightened security crisis, will now resume immediately across all residential wards, requiring active homeowners to log in and interact with their estates to prevent forfeiture. Veterans and returning adventurers alike are encouraged to verify their subscription status and check official patch channels for ongoing launcher stability updates.
