Exodus Male Protagonist Jun Aslan Redesign Revealed [Confirmed]

Archetype Entertainment officially revealed a comprehensive visual redesign for Exodus male protagonist Jun Aslan in March 2026, replacing the previously criticized facial proportions with an updated, streamlined aesthetic following vocal community backlash regarding earlier cinematic reveals. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, early character trailers drew sharp critiques from gamers who highlighted an uncanny valley appearance, characterized by exaggerated cheekbones and awkward facial animations that distracted from the gritty narrative tone of the studio's ambitious sci-fi universe. In response, Archetype rebuilt Jun's facial mesh, softening unnatural contours and aligning his appearance with modern narrative RPG standards comparable to upcoming expansions like [Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5: Secret Witcher Crossover [Update 2026]](/news/cyberpunk-2077-update-25-witcher-content). Community reactions across Reddit and social media have pivoted overwhelmingly positive, praising the refined cinematic hero styling while acknowledging default hairstyles remain customizable. Led by former BioWare veterans, Archetype continues developing Exodus as a story-driven epic exploring time dilation, planetary exploration, and branching companion loyalty paths. This proactive design adjustment demonstrates a studio highly attuned to player reception well ahead of its competitive retail launch cycle.
