Epic Games Launcher AI Update: Vibe-Coding Beats Steam [Confirmed]

Epic Games officially confirmed that developers utilized generative AI to vibe-code a brand-new Epic Games Launcher designed to radically outpace Steam in digital marketplace speed, reduced memory overhead, and overall client performance across global PC systems. According to verified reports from Eurogamer published this week, Epic leadership admitted that utilizing AI-driven development allows them to move faster than their primary competitor in the PC gaming landscape. This architectural shift aims to resolve historic complaints regarding launcher bloat, slow load times, and clunky navigation that historically plagued the platform since its initial launch. By accelerating development velocity through advanced artificial intelligence tools, Epic hopes to capture a larger share of PC gamers who typically default to Valve's dominant storefront. Industry analysts note that while creators have previously criticized corporate strategies—comparable to debates surrounding indie projects and platform policies like [DayZ Creator Slams Epic And Unity Greed [Confirmed]](/news/dayz-creator-slams-epic-unity)—technological modernization remains essential for platform survival. Gamers transitioning between multiple storefronts will immediately notice the drastically reduced resource consumption and snappier interface responsiveness.
