Dylan Larkin Trade: Minnesota Wild Deal Close [Update 2026]

Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin is actively nearing a blockbuster trade to the Minnesota Wild as ongoing negotiation talks between both front offices intensify ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, according to verified reports from Sportskeeda Esports & BGMI citing NHL insider Michael Russo. Speaking on KFAN radio, Russo confirmed that discussions between Detroit general management and Minnesota have made substantial headway after Larkin initially submitted a trade request earlier in June. Detroit has maintained a high asking price, targeting blue-chip prospects, top-six forward talent, and early-round draft capital to fortify their long-term rebuild. Minnesota has prioritized securing an elite, two-way center to solidify their top forward line alongside Kirill Kaprizov. The impending transaction mirrors major roster disruptions seen across traditional sports and competitive esports, echoing high-stakes maneuvers like the [Warriors Trade Targets 2026: Porzingis Retirement [Confirmed]](/news/warriors-trade-targets-porzingis-retirement).
