Double Counter Leak Exposes 28M Discord Users, Raising CS2 [Confirmed]

As originally reported by TalkEsport, the Double Counter verification bot—used by over 600,000 Discord communities—was infiltrated on October 4, 2026. The attacker extracted Discord user IDs, usernames, IP addresses and, for 27 million records, detailed location and ISP information, along with one million email addresses. Passwords and payment data were not part of the leak, but the exposure of IP data raises immediate privacy concerns for CS2 teams that rely on the bot to filter alt accounts. The breach forces players who clicked verification links to assume their data was copied, potentially eroding trust in Discord‑based security tools.
