DC Mister Miracle Series: Lead Cast Revealed [Confirmed]

DC Studios and co-CEO James Gunn have officially confirmed the lead voice cast for the animated Mister Miracle television adaptation, tapping Josh Hutcherson to star as Scott Free alongside a high-profile ensemble for the upcoming DC Universe streaming slate. According to verified reports from Polygon, the animated production adapts writer Tom King and artist Mitch Gerads' critically acclaimed twelve-issue comic run from 2017 to 2019. The narrative follows Scott Free, the master escape artist from New Genesis who fled the torturous pits of Apokolips, as he navigates domestic life with Big Barda amid psychological trauma and an ongoing cosmic war. Following the mixed critical reception of King's Supergirl adaptation, DC Studios is treating this prestige animated project as a cornerstone narrative bridge within the broader Gods and Monsters phase. Production insiders confirm that the series will embrace the surreal, existential tone of the graphic novel while maintaining direct ties to upcoming DCU gaming and cinematic properties, expanding Warner Bros. Discovery's ambitious transmedia universe across global platforms.
