Day of the Tentacle Leaving Xbox Game Pass [Confirmed]

Day of the Tentacle Remastered, LucasArts’ legendary time-traveling point-and-click puzzle masterpiece, will officially depart from the Xbox Game Pass subscription service library on October 31 ahead of the Halloween holiday, according to verified reporting bureaus at Polygon. This impending removal arrives amidst a turbulent era for Microsoft’s gaming division, which has weathered continuous waves of studio closures, workforce layoffs, and rising hardware costs across next-generation ecosystems. Despite these overarching corporate headwinds, Game Pass continues its aggressive bi-weekly rotation of new software additions and legacy departures. For retro adventure enthusiasts and completionists, this short, brilliantly scripted title offers an ideal spooky season playthrough before its licensing agreement expires entirely. Players who wish to experience Bernard Bernoulli, Hoagie, and Laverne’s historical antics must complete puzzles swiftly or purchase the digital title outright.
