Cyberpunk 2077 Movie: Paramount Sets Live-Action Film [Confirmed]

Paramount Pictures is officially producing a feature-length live-action Cyberpunk 2077 movie alongside veteran Hollywood producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, marking CD Projekt Red's major cinematic expansion into Night City. According to verified reporting from Game Informer citing Deadline, the Hollywood studio has secured rights to adapt the dystopian video game universe following the global triumphs of the Phantom Liberty expansion and Studio Trigger's Edgerunners anime. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, famed for steering franchise blockbusters like Transformers One and Snake Eyes, will oversee production as the studio drafts screenwriters to capture Night City's ruthless corporate warfare. While early production details remain closely guarded, the project highlights how major studios are aggressively mining deep video game narratives, drawing comparisons to cinematic hype surrounding projects like [Phantom Blade Zero Preview [Confirmed]: S-Game Action RPG](/news/phantom-blade-zero-preview-confirmed) and [Gears of War E-Day: Giant Bomb Review & Ace Combat 8 [Confirmed]](/news/gears-of-war-e-day-review). Paramount aims to translate the cyberware augmentations, high-octane mercenary combat, and sprawling Arasaka conspiracies into a faithful theatrical spectacle, establishing another milestone for transmedia gaming adaptations.
