Cyberpunk 2077 2.5 Update: How to Get Secret Witcher Items [Full Guide]

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.5 officially introduces secret Witcher-themed gear items accessible to all players who successfully respond to Ariadne's initial text messages and wait a few in-game days for apartment care packages. According to verified reports from Game Rant, the massive 2.5 update expanded Night City far beyond dual-wielding mechanics and Edgerunners content by embedding crossover easter eggs. To unlock these rewards, players must engage amicably with NPC Ariadne upon receiving her prompt message. After waiting a few in-game days, a second message triggers a special care package directly inside V’s apartment, delivering all the free Witcher gear instantly. This seamless integration highlights CD Projekt Red's commitment to rewarding returning players with nostalgic nods. Industry events like this often parallel major studio shifts, reminiscent of historic announcements seen during major industry milestones such as the [BioWare Studio Closure: EA Shuts Down RPG Giant [Update 2026]](/news/ea-shuts-down-bioware-studio-legacy). Players diving back into Night City should verify their game client is fully updated to patch 2.5 to avoid missing out on time-sensitive messages and apartment deliveries. Checking terminal logs and managing time skips efficiently ensures no missed notifications interrupt your progression flow.
