CookieRun India Shutdown: Krafton Pulls Plug [Confirmed]

CookieRun India will officially shut down all live services on December 18, 2026, as publisher Krafton India and co-developer Devsisters conclude their two-year localized publishing initiative across the Indian subcontinent due to shifting mobile gaming priorities. According to verified reports from GamingonPhone, the localized runner title originally launched in December 2024 to bring localized cultural themes, custom regional events, and tailored runner challenges to South Asian mobile users. Despite early community enthusiasm and active publisher support across major app stores, Krafton India has decided to pull the plug after two full years of continuous live operations. In-game transactions and microcurrency sales will be phased out systematically leading up to the final server closure date, giving existing players time to spend remaining currencies and complete legacy story missions. This corporate realignment allows Krafton to consolidate internal publishing bandwidth and server engineering infrastructure around its premier esports pipelines.
