Connor Hellebuyck Return Oct 23; Jets Uncertain [Update]

Connor Hellebuyck’s NHL suspension ends on Friday, October 23, but insider Elliotte Friedman says neither the Winnipeg Jets nor the goaltender wants him back immediately, citing lingering locker‑room tension and concerns over team chemistry ahead of the upcoming schedule. According to verified reports from Sportskeeda Esports & BGMI, Friedman relayed that Hellebuyck informed the Jets of his readiness, yet management remains hesitant. The Jets, currently sitting mid‑table in the Western Conference, must decide whether to reinstate their veteran netminder or continue with backup Alex Nedeljkovic, who posted a .915 save percentage in Hellebuyck’s absence. This decision could influence the Jets’ playoff odds, especially with back‑to‑back games against the Colorado Avalanche and Seattle Kraken. For fans tracking market trends, 217G’s escrow‑protected marketplace shows a spike in demand for high‑ranked NHL accounts, echoing the broader economic ripple of roster volatility.
