Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Naruto Officially Replaced [Confirmed]

Boruto Uzumaki has officially replaced his father Naruto as Konoha's definitive frontline defender following the critical political and combat turning points established in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 38 on October 20, 2026, permanently reshaping the franchise hierarchy. According to verified reports from Game Rant, illustrator Mikio Ikemoto advanced the Post-Mamushi arc by launching the decisive assault on the Shinju hideout while dismantling Konoha's traditional leadership council. This milestone closes the Seventh Hokage's operational era, shifting the entire narrative weight onto Boruto's Otsutsuki-augmented combat abilities. While classic gaming franchises balance shifting casts—much like the party dynamics detailed in our [Final Fantasy Resonance Party Members & Unlocks [Full Guide]](/news/final-fantasy-resonance-party-members-unlock)—this canonical handover permanently settles decades of generational debate. The narrative realignment has sent immediate shockwaves across the anime gaming landscape, where publishers frequently synchronize seasonal DLC updates and fighting game rosters with current manga power scales. Boruto's newly cemented status as the sole vanguard against the God Tree threat ensures that upcoming video game adaptations will spotlight his combat style, banishing legacy Seventh Hokage variants to secondary support designations in competitive lineups.
